About Nikaashu

Where Indian craftsmanship meets the world.

Every beautiful journey begins with a moment.

For Nikaashu, that moment came in January 2025, during a journey through the valleys of Kashmir.

I’m Ashutosh, Founder of Nikaashu, and alongside my co-founder Abhishek, I discovered something during that journey that stayed with us long after we returned — the extraordinary art and craftsmanship created by Indian hands.

There was something deeply special about these pieces.

They weren't simply beautiful objects. They carried tradition, patience, skill, culture, and stories passed down through generations.

And we couldn't stop thinking:

What if the world could see what we had just discovered?

That question became the beginning of Nikaashu.

From an idea to a purpose.

Coming from a background in performance marketing, I have spent years understanding how brands, ideas, and stories can reach people across borders.

But with Nikaashu, Abhishek and I wanted to build something more personal.

We wanted to use our experience to create a bridge between India's incredible artisans and a global audience.

A bridge that could help people discover the beauty of Indian handmade art — not just as décor or a product, but as a piece of culture.

And so, Nikaashu was born.

More than art. A story you can bring home.

At Nikaashu, we discover and curate handmade creations that reflect the richness of Indian craftsmanship.

Every piece carries something that mass-produced products simply cannot replicate:

the human touch.

Small variations are not imperfections.

They are proof that a real person made it.

Every detail reflects time, patience, tradition, and imagination.

Behind every creation is an artisan, a skill, and a story worth discovering.

Our Vision

We believe Indian craftsmanship deserves a place in homes across the world.

Our vision is to build a bridge between India's artistic heritage and the modern global home — making authentic handmade art easier for people everywhere to discover, appreciate, and own.

But as we take these traditions to the world, we want to preserve what makes them special.

The hands.
The heritage.
The story.

That is what Nikaashu stands for.

From Kashmir to the world.

What began with a journey to Kashmir in January 2025 has become a much bigger dream for Ashutosh and Abhishek:

to discover the extraordinary art hidden across India and share it with the world.

When you choose a piece from Nikaashu, you're not simply choosing something beautiful for your home.

You're choosing a piece of Indian craftsmanship.

A piece of someone's skill.

A piece of a tradition.

A piece of a story.

Welcome to Nikaashu.

Crafted in India.

Rooted in tradition.

Made to be discovered by the world.
